Yoga

Yoga – Tender strength.

The yoga practice and yoga asanas (postures) aim to balance body & mind as well as regulate breath and energy flow. My approach is to develop a sense of your own body through practicing yoga, to (re)connect, befriend, get to know and in the end to settle into your body.

From there you can start to embody what you experience during the yoga practice e.g. a certain posture makes you feel a certain way or a certain posture starts a specific and typical thinking pattern, etc. So, whatever a postures brings up, you will learn and discover something about yourself and you can use the same posture adopting it to your (body) needs to create a different experience and let some of the tension go.

That way you create more space in your body and thus strengthen yourself and improve also your mental strength. In the postures we use our own strength to act in a balanced way and to work towards relaxation in a disciplined way.

And eventually at the end of the practice you feel an inner peace with yourself, with others and the world around you. You might feel more aligned and more coherence throughout your entire beautiful being.

My yoga classes are a balanced mixture of yin & yang, of strengthening & relaxing postures and following somatic principles.

All levels welcome.

Aerial Yoga - Weightless flight.

Aerial Yoga is a composition of aerial acrobatics and yoga. Aerial Yoga uses the silk (the yoga hammock) for practicing yoga postures in order to gain strength and flexibility as well as supporting the body in all yoga asanas.

You experience how to improve body tension and relaxation at the same time. Practicing Aerial Yoga means also exploring new dimensions beyond your yoga mat, sometimes flying, sometimes grounding, sometimes up side down with your head first and often weightless.

Challenge yourself, explore your limits and overcome any doubts or fear – you experience new body perception and well-being, safely carried by the silk.

No experience with Aerial Yoga required. Experience with yoga is helpful but neither required. All levels welcome.

Movement tailored to your needs

Classes and sessions are tailored to your needs. So, you can book one on one classes, which are individual sessions for Yoga, Aerial Yoga and other Movement practice like walking, dancing, somatic movement,…

There is also the possibility to book for Yoga, Aerial Yoga and other Movement practice for an entire group.

Yoga and Aerial yoga classes are held at AyurYoga in 3020 Herent. Movement sessions can happen indoors and outdoors, depending on what you wish, need and what we agree on.
